LA Transit to Trails is my curated guide to transit-friendly hiking and camping areas near Los Angeles. The transit and walking directions have been verified in person and include tips such as where to fill your water bottle, get a snack, or go to pee after your long ride so you can get off the pavement and onto the dirt as easily as possible.  I hope it inspires you to explore the amazing LA-area trails and camps you can reach by bus and train! - Kevin
